Economic Indicators

The analysts at Anderson Economic Group track key economic indicators for Michigan, Illinois, and the U.S. as a whole. Our economic conditions monitor tracks some of the most important of these.

Economic Conditions Monitor

According to traditional definition of recession we did see GDP contract for two consecutive quarters and inflation has been growing for over a year. Unemployment has also ticked up in the United States. However, some indicators are still moving in a positive direction: GDP did increase for the third quarter, and key economic indicators are giving mixed signals.

Check back often for regular updates, and to track how current economic conditions are affecting key industries in Michigan and Illinois.
