AEG Annouces Ilhan K. Geckil as Director of Finance and Business Valuation

Chicago, IL. – Anderson Economic Group, LLC, is pleased to announce that Ilhan Geckil has been named Director of the Finance and Business Valuation practice area. In this role, he will be supervising consultants working on client projects including, corporate finance advisory, business valuation, estimation of commercial damages, and mergers and acquisitions.

AEG is one of the nation’s leading valuation and commercial damages expert witness firms, and has worked with clients all over the country. Geckil has been with the company since 2002, and specializes in the Alcohol Beverage and Automotive industries, as well as franchised businesses and strategy.

Recent clients of Mr. Geckil include InBev, National Wine & Spirits, Jenner & Block, First Merit Bank, and M. E. Fox & Co. He is also the author of the book Applied Game Theory and Strategic Behavior (CRC Press 2009). His recent papers include "A Game Theoretical Model of Corporate Average Fuel Economy," on regulation in the automobile industry published in Business Economics, and "Pocketbook Predictions of Presidential Elections," also published in Business Economics. The latter was awarded the Edmund A. Mennis Contributed Paper Award by the National Association for Business Economics in 2004.

Mr. Geckil holds a Master's degree in economics from the Eli Broad Graduate School of Management at Michigan State University, and a Bachelor's degree in economics from Koç University in Istanbul, Turkey. He is a member of the National Association for Business Economics (NABE), and the Institute of Business Appraisers (IBA).
