Philosophy

We support the free enterprise system, and believe that experts in policy, economics, and finance can assist organizations by providing fair and independent assessments of the benefits and costs associated with business transactions, new developments, changes in policy, and economic trends.

We study issues fairly, and don't "sell" conclusions. Before we begin a study, we agree with our clients on the scope of the study, the issues to be evaluated, and the goal of the research. We follow a rigorous methodology that can be reviewed by others. We tell the truth.

As part of our services, we can present the conclusions of our studies to legislative committees, corporate boards, judges and juries, the media, and in other forums. If our client requests assistance in explaining issues to policymakers, we will assist in formulating a truthful and concise public relations strategy.

We work with our clients' government relations representative, attorneys, and other professionals. However, we are not a lobbying or law firm, but can recommend professionals for clients whose needs in this area exceed the scope of our firm. On occasion, we are asked to support policies for which we cannot, in good conscience, provide assistance. In these cases we provide referrals to another researcher, consultant, economist, lobbyist, attorney, or other individual.
