Ms. Branneman is a senior analyst at Anderson Economic Group working in the Market and Industry Analysis practice area. Her areas of expertise include market analysis, urban and community development, location analysis, and trade area assessments, especially in matters of franchised businesses. Ms. Branneman also manages the firm’s Geographic Information System (GIS), applying the software to conduct geospatial market analyses for a range of clients.
Among the clients for whom she has worked are the Lansing Economic Development Corporation, Northern Michigan University, Automation Alley, the Project Management Institute, and private developers and businesses across the country. Following the termination of over 1,800 dealerships by GM and Chrysler in 2010, she was lead staff on over 50 projects for franchised dealerships across 23 states, providing expert analysis used in arbitration to challenge criteria used in the termination decisions. She has also worked on a number of other auto dealership franchise cases, including a recent matter in which her work was cited as a primary factor for a favorable decision for the client.
Before joining AEG in 2007, Lauren served as a constituent relations intern in the Michigan Senate, and also worked in urban planning for the City of Williamston, Michigan. Ms. Branneman graduated from Michigan State University with a B.S. in Urban and Regional Planning, and is completing her Master's degree in Public Administration with a concentration in Local Government at Western Michigan University.
